Rinku Singh is a professional cricketer from India, born on October 12, 1997, in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He is a left-handed middle-order batsman and also an occasional right-arm medium-fast bowler. Rinku made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in 2016 and has since played for the team in various domestic tournaments.

Early Life and Career:

Rinku Singh grew up in a small village in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where he developed a keen interest in cricket at a young age. He started playing cricket in the streets and soon joined a local club. His talent was recognized early, and he was selected to play for the Uttar Pradesh Under-16 team.

Rinku continued to impress with his performances and was soon promoted to the Uttar Pradesh Under-19 team. In 2015, he made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He played a crucial role in the team's campaign, scoring 203 runs at an average of 50.75.

First-Class Debut and IPL:

In 2016, Rinku Singh made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy. He had a quiet debut, scoring just 10 runs in the match against Baroda. However, he soon found his form and scored his maiden first-class century in the following season against Railways.

Rinku's performances caught the attention of the Kolkata Knight Riders, and he was bought by the franchise in the 2018 IPL auction for INR 80 lakh. He made his IPL debut against Sunrisers Hyderabad, scoring a valuable 34 runs in a losing cause. He went on to play six matches in the tournament, scoring 115 runs at an average of 19.16.

Rinku continued to impress in the domestic circuit, scoring runs consistently for Uttar Pradesh. In the 2018-19 season, he scored 953 runs at an average of 59.56, including two centuries and six fifties.

India A and Duleep Trophy:

In 2018, Rinku Singh was selected to represent India A in the quadrangular series in England. He played three matches in the tournament, scoring 112 runs at an average of 56.00. He also had a successful Duleep Trophy campaign, scoring 283 runs at an average of 70.75, including two centuries.

Rinku continued to impress in the 2019-20 domestic season, scoring 686 runs at an average of 49.00. His performances earned him a call-up to the India A team for the tour of New Zealand in early 2020. However, he could not make the playing XI in any of the matches.

Current Status and Future:

Rinku Singh is currently one of the most promising young cricketers in India. He has a sound technique and is known for his ability to score runs quickly. He has also shown his versatility by bowling some handy medium-fast deliveries.

Rinku Singh's IPL career took a hit when he was released by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 2021 season. However, he was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings in the 2022 IPL auction for INR 50 lakh.

Rinku Singh has a bright future ahead of him and could be a valuable asset to the Indian cricket team in the years to come.
